Paul C. Ryan (Paul), one of the partners at O’Brien, Riley, & Ryan, has been in the accounting profession for over thirty-five years. In 1987, Paul joined the firm.

Prior to joining the firm, Paul was the vice president of Finance and Administration with Scientific Systems Co., Inc., a research and development company and government contractor. Prior experience included Wellman Inc., a manufacturer, and Alexander Grant (currently Grant Thornton), certified public accountants.

Professional Background

Paul has worked in public accounting as well as private industry. He has experience and is knowledgeable in financial statement preparation and auditing, tax planning and reporting, cash management, raising capital and compliance with government regulation. He has designed, developed, and implemented budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting systems.

Paul also has unique experience providing support on cash flow planning, cost controls, and pricing strategies.

He has developed some specific in-depth industry fields, including real estate (including HUD), non-profit, government contractors, financial services, and manufacturing. Paul has significant experience with Government Auditing Standards (GAS), and is often directly involved, on behalf of clients, with government agencies, such as:

Paul graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. He has a Master’s Degree in Accounting from the Professional School of Accounting of Northeastern University.
