2017 Make It Count – MSPCA Day of Service
The CPA Day of Service on June 15, 2017 is the perfect opportunity for us to come together as a team, give back to the local community, and unite with other members of the CPA profession!
We served at Father Bill’s & Mainspring, whose mission is to end and prevent homelessness in Southern Massachusetts with programs that provide emergency and permanent housing and help people obtain skills, jobs, housing, and services.
What is the MSCPA Day of Service?
The Day of Service encourages MSCPA members to get involved in their community through volunteerism projects. Last year, over 600 members participated – help us reach our 2017 goal of over 700 members! This year for our MSCPA Day of Service, we are partnering with Cradles to Crayons – a nonprofit organization that hosts special industry days to bring together colleagues from similar industries to help serve children across the Commonwealth. This impactful volunteer day allows industry leaders and their colleagues to network while sorting, sizing, and packaging goods to be placed in KidPacks for the children Cradles to Crayons serves. It gives organizations who haven’t been to their Giving Factory before, a chance to volunteer, learn about the organization, and have fun while giving back!
